Grand Bay Commercial Construction

Our founder Chris Burch set a blazing trail when he started Grand Bay Construction in 2005, with a specialization in residential homes along cherished 30A.

After over a decade of bringing luxury living to Florida homeowners, Grand Bay Construction expanded into commercial services.

Since 2018 our veteran-level team has constructed and remodeled spaces for leading brands like Faherty, Tommy Bahama, and Billabong.

As well as local businesses like, Primary and Urgent Care South, Beachy Beach Real Estate, Catina Laredo, Vin’tij Food & Wine, Virdian Residences, and more.

Meet Our Team


  • Chris graduated from Auburn University with a Building Science degree in 2000 and worked as a project engineer on the west coast. He later returned for an MBA and began building single-family homes in his spare time. In 2005, Chris co-founded Grand Bay Construction, LLC in Seagrove Beach, FL, aiming to establish a top-tier residential and commercial construction firm along the Gulf Coast.

    Chris strongly values uplifting and empowering people in his community and beyond. He is a proud founder and board member of World Changers Student Missions, a 501c3 non-profit based in Lynn Haven, FL.


  • Matt has over 12 years of public accounting experience, working for companies like Price Waterhouse Coopers, LLP and O’Sullivan Creel, LLP. Matt took a break from public accounting to coach collegiate and professional tennis and founded Matchpoint Advisors, LLC, which serves professional athletes and sports academies.

    After returning to the Gulf Coast in 2014, he expanded his accounting services to include construction, real estate, and professional services, while continuing to work with clients in the U.S. and Europe. Matt lives in Miramar Beach, Florida, with his wife and son.

    Nick’s expertise includes project design, planning, scheduling, management, and budgeting. With a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset, Nick excels in overseeing successful projects and program execution.

    Nick is a seasoned Project Executive, who brings a unique and visionary perspective to Grand Bay Commercial, underpinned by his degree in architecture from the renowned University of Florida. His academic foundation in architecture has equipped him with a deep understanding of design principles and spatial planning providing a fresh lens through which to approach managing construction and land development projects.
